RAAS SOLAR installs a photovoltaic plant for the largest solar pumping system in the Dominican Republic and all of Central America.
The project built by RAAS SOLAR was for the INSERCA company that owns an Organic Banana farm for export in the Valverde province, Mao. With this Photovoltaic plant, enough energy is generated to cover the water needs of the entire plantation (1,289,163 square meters).
The project executed by this company consists of moving engines of more than 200 HP coupled to vertical turbines to propel more than 4,500 gallons per minute at a distance of 2 km from the Rio Mao to the irrigation area. Reflecting savings of more than 2,800 gallons of diesel per month.
In this installation, more than 2000 solar panels were used, being the largest solar pumping project installed to date in the country and throughout Central America.
